Show Racism the Red Card

Here at Ambleside Primary we support ‘Show Racism the Red Card’. It enables children to challenge stereotypes, and to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of our school and wider community.

Definition if Racism

Treating people unfairly because of the colour of their skin, their race, religion or culture.

We would like to introduce you to out Ambassadors Against Racism

Wear Red Day

Show Racism Awareness day encourages supporters to wear red as a part of action against racism in England Scotland and Wales.

During the day each class had an opportunity to discuss how racism affects them and their family and how they would like to tackle the issue of racism.

Even though Racism is a serious issue, we would like you to have a look at the fun we had while celebrating diversity around our school, while promoting anti-racism.
