The Friends of Ambleside Parents & Teachers Association (PTA) have been running for 5 years working alongside the school and raising much needed funds. The PTA try to fundraise in many different ways which is always a challenge and do their very best to make each event all inclusive and above everything else fun!
The lists below are events that are run every year, one off fund raising opportunities and the resources that the PTA have managed to provide to benefit the school.
The PTA runs two family discos every year:
Monster Mash Disco in October
Spring Time Disco in February
We also run a Year 6 Leavers Prom in July
The PTA hold two fairs a year:
Christmas fair in December
Summer Fair in July
The PTA provides all of the Easter Eggs for the Easter Parade for KS1 and mini eggs for the whole of the school.
Here we provide Pass the Parcel for each class, plates etc. for the parties, on the spot prizes.
The PTA has worked with Nottingham Forest on a Spot Kick Challenge, Secret Santa, Cake Sale, Asda sales, Tesco sales and more.
We have provided Attendance Bikes, Books for the library and World Book Day, Sports Kits for the football teams, an iPad for the DJ Club, Disco Equipment, and Prizes for work done in the classroom by pupils and one off prizes.
We provide refreshments for events including Parents Evening, Sports Days and Adult Education Classes. We are also supporting Soccer Star Challenge in June raising money for this terms charity M.E.
The PTA are always looking for new members to get involved and help out in whatever way they can and new ideas are always appreciated.
